Once the nation was alerted to the severity of COVID-19 in early 2020, AES México began implementing actions to provide timely and necessary aid to major sectors impacted by the pandemic.

With TEG/TEP’s neighboring communities, we focused our support on frontline health care workers, delivering over 20,000 PPE items to clinics and hospitals in Ciudad Valles and Tamuín, directly impacting about 140,000 people.

Similarly, we supported local communities faced with the health emergency by delivering , in basic food baskets to vulnerable communities, including those in extreme poverty, the elderly, the unemployed and people with disabilities. In total, we delivered about 13,500 items to 385 families in Ejidos Estación Tamuín and Estación Las Palmas, in Tamuín, San Luis Potosí, including the towns of La Gloria, El Infiernito, El Caseral La Tima and El Coco.

Impact:

140,000+ frontline health care workers received PPE and 385 vulnerable families received food baskets
